Bikur Cholim has arranged for volunteers to visit hospitalized patients. These visits are designed to lend emotional support for patients, let them know that they are not alone, and provide a friendly face and connection to the local Jewish community.
In addition, we provide home-bound visiting for members of the community and in local nursing homes.
Bikur Cholim can provide rides for family members to and from the hospital. We also provide transportation for those in need of rehabilitation, medical appointments, or other out-patient services.

Bikur Cholim has beautiful hospitality rooms that provide both Kosher food and a quiet restful place for family members of hospitalized patients.
Kosher hospitality rooms are located in GBMC, Sinai Hospital, Johns Hopkins, UMMC and MedStar Union Memorial Hospital.

Bikur Cholim lends a variety of medical equipment, such as:
• wheelchairs
• walkers (traditional and rollators)
• canes
• crutches
• shower/tub chairs
• commodes
We also have breast pumps, when needed for medical emergencies (e.g., when baby and mother need to be separated for a short time).

Bikur Cholim offers beautifully renovated, fully-stocked, accomodations in the Jewish community and near hospitals. Bikur Cholim has two fully furnished beautiful apartments in the heart of the community and within the Eruv.

Bikur Cholim has delivered thousands of Kosher meals to patients and their families both in the hospital and at home. Bikur Cholim provides meals for the home-bound, for the postpartum families, and for family members of hospitalized patients who cannot manage for themselves.
